An announcement of The Beatles coming to iTunes appears on the Apple website November 16, 2010 in San Anselmo, California.

For a story that is supposedly the biggest thing to happen since the last big thing that happened, the story about the Beatles' catalog landing on iTunes is inspiring a remarkable number of aggressively eye-rolling tweets that are cascading through my feed at a remarkable pace. Here are ten from my Twitter feed alone.

1. Dave Holmes: "I know I'll never forget the day the massive corporation acquired the rights to sell me something I already have."

2. Keith Phipps: "At last: I can finally hear the music of The Beatles!"

3. Rick Porter: "I think I'll just re-grab the Beatles songs from my CDs. Thanks anyway, Apple."

4. DRUNKHULK: "BEATLE ON meTUNE! THAT IT?! IF THIS DAY DRUNK HULK NO EVER FORGET! APPLE MUST THINK DRUNK HULK LIFE SUCK!"

5. Dave Itzkoff: "Pretty sure all the Beatles tracks on iTunes were actually recorded by Klaatu."

6. Stephen Thompson: "The Beatles catalog's release on iTunes is the biggest news story since the last time a product everyone has was made available in a store."

7. Will Edmondson: "Hey Mom, congrats! You know all those Beatles albums you already own on vinyl, cassette, AND CD? Now you can buy them on iTunes, too!"

8. Wil Wheaton: "Today is just another day that I'll never forget ... being completely underwhelmed by an announcement from Apple."

9. Kate Aurthur: "I love all the 'Finally People Can Have Digital Beatles' stories! They prove that the MSM really HASN'T learned from music biz implosion."

10. Dave Cole: "Good luck getting The Beatles on iTunes tomorrow. Half of them are dead."
