This week's show comes to you two days before Father's Day (don't forget to call your dad, if applicable!), so we spend some time talking about the things our dads liked, from classic sitcoms to classic comedy.
We also chat about the Tony Awards, TV's most satisfying and least fussed-over awards show, including the strong showing by The Book Of Mormon and the strong showing from host Neil Patrick Harris.
In continuing good news, Stephen and I have almost nothing but nice things to say about J.J. Abrams' Super 8, which we caught last weekend.
Stephen will tell you what book he's decided to read, and I will tell you a story about a wonderful listener gift meant to assuage my soul-deep guilt.
As always, we wrap with what's making us happy this week, including some crazy Richard Dreyfuss and an answer to the question so many of you have asked: "Does Stephen have kids?" (Just joking. JOKING.)
I have to tell you one story about this week's show: You will hear, at one point, Stephen say, "An indulgence that I pray you will forgive." And then there is a jump where there's clearly been an edit. Please know that this happened because our esteemed and hilarious producer Mike Katzif muttered, "Or cut." This caused us all to laugh hysterically for quite a while, and then we had to collect ourselves before we could move on. Unfortunately, the Mike Katzif comedy often hits the cutting room floor, because he has no microphone, but believe me when I tell you: he does his share of the cutting in more ways than one.
As always you can follow us on Twitter: me, Trey, Stephen, Glen and Mike. Or, of course, find us on Facebook.
