You know what I think makes Vulture, the culture blog at New York Magazine, so good? When they do the basic "Here's a thing; here are a few words about that thing" post, it's better than just about anybody else's. Check out this run Kyle Buchanan took at a video of the darling Ryan Gosling explaining that video that circulated a few weeks ago of him breaking up a street fight.

Everyone who does not know anything at all about the personality of Sons Of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter is incredibly shocked that his very public "goodbye cruel world" abandonment of Twitter lasted three weeks.

"Man Dressed As Gumby Attempts To Rob 7-11, Ends Up Giving Clerk 27 Cents." What? That's a pop culture story. He didn't rob the store dressed as Henry Kissinger, did he?

Locke & Key, based on the graphic novel of the same name, is a pilot that was produced for Fox, which passed. But it's become cockroach-like, in the good way — now, Deadline says it might still show up on MTV.

The Parents Television Council has found a new target: an episode of TLC's Toddlers And Tiaras in which a pageant mom dressed her daughter up in a version of Julia Roberts' prostitute outfit from the beginning of Pretty Woman. Now, I'm not fan of hand-wringing when it's not necessary, but I'm going to tell you — when I saw this, it was so creepy it was like having bugs on me.
