Peace

On this Good Friday and the fourth day of Passover, I think it's a good day to remind ourselves that the peace, the healing, that we so desperately hope for and seek can actually be found in so many places: in the fellowship of a Passover Seder or the silent awe of an Easter sunrise. In the smiles on children's faces when they find their Easter baskets full of candy or in the quiet appreciation of the miracle of another Spring. Or perhaps most importantly, in the certain knowledge that none of us walk this road alone. I wish you all Peace.

Thanks Leroy....I wish the same to you. Have a lovely weekend whichever holiday you're celebrating.

Peace to you this weekend and always, Leroy.

Amen to that. God isn't found in rituals and dogman, but in our good deeds. Reaching out to help others, even when our lives are challenging. Leroy, you certainly have reached out, and have made a difference.

Thank you Leroy, and the same to you

I read your blog everyday and they certainly help all of us who read it know exactly what a cancer patient goes through. My oncologist has also told me that I have incurable cancer and right now I am in remission and off of chemo for awhile. As I celebrate Good Friday today my peace comes from believing what the Bible says in John 3:16 that "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotton son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." Thanks, Leroy, for sharing your experience with cancer. You are in my prayers. Linda

Peace be with you too Leroy.

Today is a Very Bad Day for me, not sure why...but I find today's message helpful somehow. Just looking for the beauty in the everyday seems like a good start toward healing.

Leroy, what a beautiful message. Remember to hug your little ones as they run with their baskets and squeel with delight as they find the hidden treasures. No matter what you believe, this is a day to celebrate the renewal of life. Celebrate the promise of ever lasting love and life. Love to all of my fellow bloggers and Bruce....we are with you today and every day.

Real peace, and acceptance, come only through finding One person, and His plan for your life. Think about that a second.

Leroy, you have given me an extened family!. As we follow your path on this most strange trip, many of us share our stories as we travel along. You are so very right, we do not walk this road alone. May peace be with all of you, Happy Easter.............

Dear Leroy and blog family:
I was unfamiliar with the word "namaste" and so I searched it out and found several similar definitions. I send this one out to all of us, and especially to our dear Leroy who has honored us by allowing us to take his journey with him:
"I honor the place in you in which the entire Universe dwells, I honor the place in you which is of Love, of Truth, of Light and of Peace, When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, we are One."

Sent by Harriet | 8:41 AM ET | 04-07-2007

I wish you peace, too, Leroy. Thank you for sharing. Your words bring me great comfort.

Sent by Traci | 11:20 AM ET | 04-07-2007

Dearest Fellow Bloggers,

I was raised religious-now I'm more spiritual.

Whatever each of us believes, wherever we find our strength, peace, happiness, joy and our "center", may all of you receive that comfort 10 fold! Keep in mind what is important and use the time with your loved ones as a source of refuge. Take what is being given to you from your friends and families. You need it as much as they need to give it to you. Bask in the love around you. If you have no one...we are all here for you!
"Hear that Bruce?" WE ARE HERE FOR YOU. (Positive "warm and fuzzies" being sent your way!)

PEACE TO ALL!

Hope you are having a Happy Holiday Leroy! After following your progress daily, and communicating on this Blog about my own 24 yr battle with Breast Cancer and lately discussing our fears of "IT" returning, etc, Guess what happened to me on April 3rd? I woke up with a heavy head and my Periphial Vision was gone. I was sent to the ER where much to my horror and denial, after a MRI, I was told that I had experienced a Stroke! A blood clot had lodged in the base of my skull affecting eyesight.
I had been told by my eye doctor that I had Glaucoma and cateracts, however no one ever told me that sudden sight loss is also a sign of a Stroke. I thought is was my Glaucoma acting up and so I went to my eye doctor instead of directly to the ER, or calling 911, which would have saved valuable time with a Stroke.
Anyway Leroy, the point I am trying to make is- that we are all worried about "the Beast returning", as you call it, but are we actually aware of what else can end our lives?? Are we focusing too much on the Cancer?
Even the methods used to chase Cancer , does damage to our bodies, so why are we wasting precious hours and days of our lives worrying about this one Beast? Shouldn't we be thinking more about others and what kind of legacy we want to leave behind?
Thank you for being there Leroy, to share my depressing thoughts with. My big love and consolation has always been my art work and now I find I am facing blindness, or possibly sudden death.
