A day off, great idea.... ENJOY!!!!!
Enjoy the day LeRoy...glad to hear you taking a day off!!!!!!
Hi, Leroy-
Hope your day off is for something enjoyable - you've earned it! (And it's about time you took a day off!)
Glad you're having a non-cancer day off...but a day without Leroy is like a day without morning coffee.
Nikki
Glad you took a day off Leroy - hope it was for something fun.You certainly deserve a day off. Today is a difficult day for me - going for treatment and results of tests (MRI of brain and back).
Have a nice, well deserved weekend Leroy
Great! Hope you enjoyed your day off, Leroy, if you ever read this. Still praying for you. Best to you and Laurie.
yes, leroy take a rest and we will been waiting for you, and god bles you.
I am so glad you've decided to give yourself a break. Everyone needs a day off once in awhile (perhaps as often as possible) and I sure hope you're doing something fun! Give yourself and your brilliant, kind and funny mind and heart a rest. You so deserve it. Fondly, Anita
Leroy,
I'm so glad your off today. You need the time off. I pray it is a good weekend for you.
Vicki,
Good luck today. I will pray for you. I know how hard those days can be. Have faith and be strong.
I'm glad you're taking a day off, even though we'll miss you.
Martie and Nancy Clark - You will be on my mind and in my heart on Mon. and Tues. as you each go for your PET scan.
Leroy Siever's Day Off - Don't let Mr. Rooney catch you!
I hope you have a great day.
Scarlett
Good for you. Leave your cancer behind, it will slow you down on whatever you plan. Remember cancer hates our good days which include vacations. Look forward to hearing from you next week.
Rest and heal well, Leroy... and think about ways WE can help YOU!
~:-))
I have to believe you wouldn't pull a "cover up". and really be down today. I am in cancer world, so I have to ask. Are you really taking a day off? I hope so. Love to you
For years I have had the idea that there needs to be a category of time off that I call mental health days. You would be entitled to some number of days a year that you call in saying "I feel much too good to come in to work today" Well if I get to be in charge, it will be one of my first acts.Hope you have a great weekend.
Thoughts and Blessings coming your way Leroy.
Good for you, Leroy. I hope you have a relaxing day. We'll let you take a break (LOL)but look forward to your return. Can't get along without you.
Leroy, Hope that you're having a great day today, and that it's part of a wonderful weekend.
I don't know if it is the tired and down mood I was in yesterday, or if the comments posted seemed to have more sad news than usual. To all, I'm sending good thoughts your way for success in treatments and well defined scan outcomes. To Nancy K. Clark, I was especially saddened by your news, as I feel that we've come to know you through your many insightful and encouraging postings over the life of this blog.
A day off that has nothing to do with cancer. Sounds like a superior idea to me!
I like Elizabeth's mental health day idea. Before I was a retired old lady I used to call them "sick & tired" days and I used to take one once in awhile.
Leroy, I hope you enjoy a day off and a three day weekend. You certainly deserve it!

Awesome!! Thx so much for this.
(I'm new to blogging - how to I get my daily fix of your musings??)
Leroy, Hope you're getting caught up in sleep and/or otherwise enjoying yourself. You certainly deserve a day off whenever you want!
Great idea. I'm going to follow your good example & take the afternoon off.
What wonderful news - as much as I treasure reading your daily blog, it's great to read that you are taking a long weekend!
Leroy, I don't know how you do this on a daily basis and I'm glad to see you take a day off. Have a wonderful long weekend!
Hope this make it a three-day weekend! *crosses fingers*
I learned yesterday that the schedulers will set our appointments for 4:30, but the technicians wish they wouldn't... *sighs*
Here's to all of us having a day off, and to those of us having an off day, as well! *raises a glass of mango juice*
Be well.

Hi Leroy,
I'm at work but some time off sounds great. I can't leave but I think I will relax and surf the internet for a while. Hope you enjoy your time off and will look forward to talking to you again next week. Prayers and Good Wishes....:)
I hope you're doing somehting wild, crazy, and pain free.
It's good to know this is a 'normal' day off - here's hoping you've had so much of a good time you'll be doing it again soon. Your writing is provided more consistently than we readers have a right to expect, and we're grateful.
This note is to Jane who commented on 6-19-07 about her list. I have gone back several times and read her words re what else is there but love to put on the list. Thank you Jane for such a wonderful true thought expressed perfectly.
Hi Doris,
Thank you so much for your kind thoughts. I will get the results on Weds, which happens to be my 15th wedding anniversary. Here's hoping for good news, I want so badly to grow old with my husband! I beleive in miracles!
Peace, Martie

Dear Leroy,
Rest, heal and do something you enjoy.
Glad you are taking a day off, Leroy. I can't help passing on a nugget of wisdom that I got from someone else: it's not YOUR cancer that you're taking a day off from, or YOUR cancer that plagues you. It is A cancer that you and your body are struggling with. This is not a thing you want to own. Looking forward to your next post, Ellen
Could be a BIRTHDAY for Leroy!! You never have mentioned when your's is. If so, Happy, happy, wishes. See how much you are missed for even one day?
Leroy,
I finally watched the Koppel documentary. I don't know why, but I knew it would be hard to watch and it was. Like this blog it was wonderful and enlightening for someone like myself who doesn't live in cancer world, but who has learned alot reading the blog daily all along.
I know you feel blessed in life - it is clear throughout the blog. What came across through the people around you and especially from Laurie (I hope I spelled that right - I didn't go back to find her post here) is how much you appreciate them. That appreciation seems the greatest blessing. Whether it is the dying child in Rwanda, friends, the doctors and nurses, or Laurie it is clear that you appreciate them and it is thus returned.
I hope your last sale date is way out there so you can continue to be blessed and to offer blessings. What a life - thank you for sharing it with us.
I'm glad you are okay. I am 48 and have breast cancer that I am treating with lumpectomy and radiation and tamoxophen. My dad told a story about cutting a man's hair after his death from cancer. Dad was his barber, and dad said his mom forbid him to do it in fear that dad would get the cancer. I am so glad now that attitudes are better, but there is still lots of fear and stigma. When I heard that word carcinoma I didn't hear anything else. I just remember the doctor moving close to me and touching my leg and talking while I cried. I appreciate your openess and sharing with us.
I wanted to take this time to kind of pay tribute to my father who passed away on Wednesday. He was given 3 months to live upon initial diagnosis and had survived for 5 years. His cancer started in his liver and pancreas and then spread pretty much everywhere else. This is the most difficult time in my life and I am hurting immensly. Those of you who are cancer patients writting in this blog I just wanted to say I think you are all so brave for going through what you are going through. Whether the tumors are big, little, terminal or not- you all still are pretty incredible people. My dad had a really great attitude throughout and I really do think it is what kept him around for so long. I wish each and everyone of you the best as you make it through this time in your life. Just try to stay positive and hopeful. My dad did and he was able to see both my brother and I get married and was able to know that he had a grandchild on the way due in January. My father was 53.
April....so sorry for your loss. Such a brave and loving daughter will carry great memories on into her life.
Leroy, Miss you, looking forward to hearing your podcast. Hoping all is well, better than well!
Deb
