Happy New Year Leroy!
I just want to thank you for this blog, it has been a tremendous source of strength and support for me this last year, as I am battling a recurrence of breast cancer. I have endured chemo since March and probably will continue, I'm being told I am now being treated for a "chronic condition". I read the blog and the comments everyday, and it truly has helped me get thru this. Thank you for your topic and insight every day! I know that I am not alone in dealing with this, and it certainly does help to know others share the same feelings. Thank you for having an outlet for those of us in "cancer world".
May God bless you in the year ahead with peace and happiness!

My Wish for You in 2008
May peace break into your house and may thieves come to steal your debts. May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet of $100 bills. May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips! May your clothes smell of success like smoking tires and may happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy. May the problems you had forget your home address! In simple words ............
May 2008 be one of the best years of your life!!!
Peggy

Thank you Leroy for being there for all. It does mean a great deal to so many. Happy New Year!
Back at ya Leroy. You are an inspiration to all of us who are fighting this disease. Whoever said "Winning isn't everything" never had to fight cancer. You, my friend, are the champion. I feel like I know you personally and look forward to reading your daily blog.
LeRoy, I can't even begin to tell you how much you have helped me during the last year, as I spent 8 months receiving treatment for Breast Cancer. Your wisdom, strength, optimism, humor, and courage is a lesson to all of us. New years are always new beginnings, new dreams, new people to meet, ect. Wishing you and Laurie new beginnings and dreams:) Thanks for all you have done, this year for myself and others. What you have done is profound:)
Happy New Years to you Leroy and everyone on this blog!
Right back at you, Leroy! Here's to a better 2008.

Leroy,
The same to you. The blog has shown a long road for you, Laurie and everyone else. I pray that each day may be a little better than the one before.
Leroy,
Don't forget that God is the Miracle Worker. He heals as long as we want to be healed by Him. i will not stop praying for you.
Leroy,
The best is yet to be. Imagine, if you will that you are kayaking down a great Sunnlit river, at mid length to the Sea's end, and there are two paths that lead either way around a cleft in the River where there is an island that you have to negotiate, either way; it lays before till you go further on down the River where it rejoins itself and becomes one longer River. It makes little difference 'the River less travelled by...' There are beautifull sights yet to see and many delights to the Way as you let your boat drift in the current downstream.
Sometimes, in fact, if you cease to paddle, and you don't disturb the ripples of the srface you can gain a plainer insight to The Great River and the longer meaning of that deeper experience that some persons have noticed is very peacefull about a River. What is it? Some Rivers are turbulent for a while and go in eddys and flows and swirls sometimes and then have roaring waterfalls but ineveitably they reach the Sea and Commune. They never are forced to the Sea, but they always find their natural way; when they reach the Sea, they evaporate into Heaven and repeat the cycle again and again as they have watered the Earth since the dawn of time; time and time again since the Dawn. Don't force, don't anticipate what the River may lead you to See and learn; understand what the River Teaches you. It is always wise. You will find that The River will make a way for you in is own time to get to the Sea. Let the River Guide you. The River will show you the choices and show you the way.
GOD BLESS YOU. My prayers are with you and your family.
Happy New Year Leroy! You are a blessing and my prayers and thoughts for you will continue in 2008.
God Bless.
Leroy,
How much I wish you the power, the will, and the strength to kick this demon in the butt. May you find your old normal very, very soon. Happy New Year to you, brave warrior!
Happy New Year to you, Leroy and Laurie. I am one of the silent ones, reading, hoping, crying, cheering, learning, and praying as the months go by. But today is very special....my eyelashes are growing back! I can feel them. I finished chemo for the second time just before Thanksgiving. And, today is our 54th wedding anniversary. We'll do popcorn and a movie and be very happy that we are both here to do that.
Dear Leroy, Lets all be thankful for each other. Happy New Year to all.
Dear Leroy and All:
Good faith and wishes for the next New Year! Spring is not far off - a time for renewal and rebirth.
Happy New Year, Leroy and all. I can't remember last New Year's Eve or lots of other things. One of my Cancer docs recently suggested we need to assess a 15 yard penalty for excessive piling on with all the other crap going wrong with my body...but my eleven month old grandson hugged me this morning and gave me those wonderful sloppy baby kisses. I hurt all over but my heart feels very full today and I will keep looking forward with you and all the others in this community of ours. Thanks for sharing your spirit with all of us even on those gray or blue days. You make it okay for me to be myself instead of "brave" all the time. I hope you know what a truly remarkable gift that is to all of us struggling everyday to get to the next day and the next. May 2008 bring us all brighter days.
Dear Leroy, Laurie and all.......Here's to a wonderful New Year for all.....with many more bright moments, than dark ones.....and to the spirit of wonderful people that are tested!!
Prayers and good energy coming your way!
Hugs
Leroy
We're all going in the same direction, albeit at different speeds. What we do along the way does count. Take a moment to feel so good about what you are contributing to so many people, and know it will come back to you tenfold. People's love and healing energy is flowing to you in abundance. Let it in. It's yours for the taking.

Happy New Year Leroy , and everyone on this blog!!! Words cannot describe how you have helped me thru this cancer journey with the passing of my husband. I continue to read every day even though he is now at peace with God. Thank you to all of you!! God bless each and every one in the new year.
Best wishes to all for a glorious and prosperous New Year. I started reading this blog over a year ago when a childhood friend's mom died of cancer. Today I had my 5th radiation treatment for BC. 5 down, 28 to go!
May we all experience kindness and peace this next year, as we give kindness to all who we come in contact with and practice peace everyday with everyone. Everyone. Boy that's a tall order for anyone. I'd like to try.
Happy New Year !

Leroy, Stephanie and all, this blog is rather like a lighthouse. We are all dependent a bit of its feeling of safety. God Bless each of you for an exciting ride on this sea of life as we cruise on the "C" vessel during 2008 .
Dear Leroy, Laurie and family, Wishing you much joy, happiness and health in the coming year. Happy New Years!

For all that you have given to us in 2007 I thank you. I anxiously await our journey together thru 2008. My heart is full with hope for you and the entire My Cancer family. Happy New Year to All.
Happy New year to you too and wishing you all the best.

Dear Leroy and friends,
I am bringing in this New Year sadly tonight because my brother lost his battle with Lymphoma very suddenly earlier this evening. I received a call from my uncle this afternoon - my sister has known for days he was in the hospital but did not call to tell me. I have been very worrried, after many tries to call and wish him a Merry Christmas, now I know why he was not answering the phone. My sister and I have had some rough times over the years, but for her to keep this information from me really makes me very angry. There were only the three of us left, and I was very, very close to my brother. For those of you who are having good relationships with your siblings, please do all you can to keep them up, because you never know when those bonds will end. I lost my younger brother just before being diagnosed with Breast Cancer two years ago, which nearly broke my heart. He was very young, only 47 years old, and died in his sleep.
Now I need to lean on all of you again, to help me to get through this tragedy.
I have been feeling down lately without
knowing why, and now I am feeling as if God was trying to prepare me for this. But there is no preparation, even in this WORLD of ours, is there? But, I have learned many things from my experiences with this disease, and that is to tell those you love that you love them right away, do not put it off for another day, because we are never promised another day. We only have today. Cherish it.
I did want to express to everyone my wish for a very HAPPY NEW YEAR, and to express my thanks for having this site to know I have a place to come and bear my dreams and my grief. No matter what, we have each other to lean on in times of need and times of joy. I am truly grateful to have been a part of this wonderful place this year, and hope for the best for everyone in 2008.
Love, Briana

A very happy and pain-free new year's wish for you Leroy!
HAPPY NEW YEAR LAURIE AND LEROY AND ALL FELLOW BLOGGERS.
Leroy: I wish you another new year.
Hope and Love.
NEW YEAR LEROY! We shall make it one of our best, won't we? Looking forward to talking to you this next week of a new year.
All the best for the upcoming year to you and yours, my friend.
Leroy,
I have just today discovered your blog at the urging of a friend. I joined the Cancer World on April 19, 2007 with a diagnosis of Stage 3C ovarian cancer. I have felt compelled to share every step of the journey with my friends and family because I just couldn't see how I could not talk about it. I am thrilled to find this place where I can continue to share and, at the same time, get wisdom and strength from others who are on the same sort of journey. I have a lot of reading and catching up to do. I'll be back when I have more to share.
Leroy and Laurie:
Positive Life Radio or rather plr.org is my soul saving gace when all else is beyond my reach emotionally. May your mind, and heart, find peace above each storm as you and yours step into this a new year.
mattie,
Dear Leroy and Family,
I have followed this blog in awe of your humor, insight and battle spirit. As I read, I also remember the fight and courage my family experienced during my Mother's diagnosis and treatments for a big bad brain tumor. We had a saying we shared often with Mom and one another each time we had to face another turn in the road. I hope it brings you cheer and strength in the coming year:
Fight like hell...but always remember...Love is the Victory.
Commander Leroy, I am reminded of a fierce combat fencing act with REAL swords as I read your words today. I don't know the vocabulary for the game, I'll bet someone do. Let's take this to another level of knowledge conquest.
Have fun, mattie
