O.J. Simpson Is Suspect in Las Vegas Hotel Break-In

Yes, the man that the cable news and entertainment networks see as Lindsay, Britney and Paris all rolled into one big ratings winner is back in the news.

O.J. Simpson has been named a suspect in an alleged break-in of a hotel room at Palace Station hotel and casino in Las Vegas. Simpson told The Associated Press that he was doing a "sting operation" to get back collectibles that belonged to him. He was questioned by police and released.

My wife had an interesting comment that I suspect shows how many people may think of Simpson these days: "He's just a sad figure now."

That's all for this week. If you see something interesting, send an e-mail to newsblog@npr.org.

This is really sad... just another case where the media thought they caught something juicy. This guy did not commit an armed robbery. Too funny how we believe the negative reports about anyone so quickly... there are so many other important issues that media should highlight.

"I can't believe people believe everything the media tosses out there." - think about it & keep watching... but "only" pay attention to the FACTS.

Life is too short. What are you doing to make positive difference?

God Bless.

One more thing that shows that Oj Simpson is psychopath.

You are right. He is a sad sociopath and a psychopath.
Unfortunately there are many of them around from football players to others.

Yes all the TV reporters and news shows are completely giddy at the idea of another simson trial. So many people were outraged at OJ getting off the hook that I think if this goes to trial even more people will be watching to see OJ get whats coming to him. Of course anyone that got away with murder with that much evidence against him would think hes untouchable, too bad the situation in LA with the cops and black population effected the judgements of the mostly black jury. And the other jury members were just to weak to put up a fight for the truth . In my opinion the OJ simpson jury has blood on there hands.

Yes mr. Roberts, it is too bad that decades of corruption, sadism and brutality against poor folks and black folks, blatant arrogance and the feeling that they were 'untouchable' finally came back to haunt the LAPD. A mostly black jury just didn't believe them because they'd lost all credibility with that community long before. The gloves didn't fit and the main witness for the prosecution turned out to be both a racist and a liar, on the stand. Ever ask yourself why Furman didn't go to jail for lying on the stand? There are two ways you could look at the (first)OJ Simpson trial, that justice was denied to the Goldmans or that the chickens came home to roost on the LAPD. If you are a white American, you probably think of it in the former, if you are a black Angelino, you're very likely to view it as the latter. Well, this time maybe there will be a conviction, now that the LAPD isn't involved. Blood on their hands? Bet you're white.
