Bloomberg Increasingly Eyes Presidential Run

The New York Times reports that, buoyed by the lack of a clear frontrunner in either party, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is "growing increasingly enchanted with the idea of an independent presidential bid." And he's got the money to do it - unlike the other candidates, criss-crossing the country in search of financial support, Bloomberg is a billionaire who could run the most expensive campaign for the presidency ever, and not even dent his pocketbook.

The Times reports that while he continues to deny in public any plans to run, he has become more open with his friends about his interest in running. This weekend, he will attend a bipartisan meeting of U.S. political figures who will urge the candidates to close the bi-partisan divide. Past reports have indicated that if he did run. Bloomberg would cast himself as a bipartisan president ready to work with both sides.

A Bloomberg candidacy would present some interesting scenarios. If Rudy Giuliani wins the Republican nomination and Hilary Clinton the Democratic one, it would mean three New Yorkers would be running for president. And if Ron Paul also makes an independent run, as some have suggested he might do, that would mean there would be four well-financed candidates fighting it out for the Oval Office.

Ron Paul got his internet windfall from the GOP seeing him as a temporary Democrat vote stealer. The GOP has that kind of money to create those types of internet false images. They'll throw Ron Paul aside when they're done with him. Which is soon. Before South Carolina and Florida, where even the ghost of Ronald Reagan couldn't keep Ron Paul bouyant in the real primary races.

Bloomberg, now there is an interesting independent run. Ross Perot had America's interest until he did his personally paid nationwide television broadcast using pie charts to explain how he was going to save the economy.

Okay, okay. Brightly colored pie charts appeal to the Paultard spammers around here. They can understand the simplicity. But the Texas Aggies and outsourced Paultards don't have any voting clout other than trying to make themselves look virtually real on the internet. Ross Perot sunk his ship by not being a very good television presence. Ross Perot knew how to raise a private mercenary army to free POWs, he just didn't understand the medium.

Imagine Fred Thompson with Bloomberg's money and you got the idea. Which is why Thompson will most likely get the VP nod behind Romney. Stage presence and appeal to the Evangelicals.

From what I've seen of Bloomberg television, the man understands the medium. He could do some serious damage to the Democrats. Not that it mattes all that much with Hillary getting the Dem nomination to create a landslide defeat. But, it's nice that the GOP and an independent Bloomberg can put the finishing nails in the Hillary coffin.

You can bet that if Bloomberg runs as an independent, the GOP will be sure to throw in good chunks of cash to help Bloomberg along his independent path. Let's be real, the Democrat party bosses have so turned off the voters that there are hordes of salivating Dem liberals looking for an independent to vote for. Also, Hillary is one of those candidates who makes voters decide to stay home on election day.

Who knows? Bloomberg might make Ron Paul a running mate....Naw. I'm just kidding. Thought I'd throw that in to rile up the Paultards. I said Bloomberg knows how to use the medium. He'd let Ron Paul be a cue card holder or something.

PS....Congratulations Bill and the Pats. Thank you for taking the monkey off of the Dolphins' back. Now we don't have to hear those beachside champagne uncorking scenarios anymore.

If you had taken my advice and taken the Giants and the spread, you'd have paid for your Xmas gifts. But, of course, you are Paultards. You don't listen to anything by Tinker Belle voices in your heads.

It is rather true that Bloomberg's function will be a vote-stealer since HE KNOWS that he has no chance of being president. His cabinet are even more contraversail like former NJ governore christine whitman...surprise surprise.
The question is who is the target of Bloomberg's gun?

Sent by Kakel: FOX news is trying to exclude (or had excluded)Ron Paul from the FOX news/GOP debate in NH on jan-6th-08.

That's because the vast majority of Americans are not interested in Ron Paul.

We don't want to hear what he has to say.

Democracy is based on the majority opinion.

Ron Paul is the conspiracy theorist's candidate. The majority of Americans are sick and tired of conspiracy theorists.

The networks are responsible to the majority opinion of viewers.

You are in the minority. If you want to hear what Ron Paul has to say, go seek Ron Paul out and ask him to talk to you.

Don't bother the rest of us with your minority opinions.
