Final N.H. Polls Show Obama, McCain With Leads

Two final polls out this morning are showing that Democratic Sen. Barack Obama and Republican Sen. John McCain have solid leads as residents of New Hampshire head to the polls.

A Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby poll shows Obama with a 13-point lead over Sen. Hillary Clinton, 42 to 29 percent. Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards is third with 17 percent. McCain had a nine-point lead over former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney, 36 to 27 percent. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is third with ten points, but is closely followed by Texas Rep. Ron Paul and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani at nine points.

The rolling poll of 862 likely Democratic voters and 859 likely Republican voters was taken Saturday through Monday. It has a margin of error of 3.4 percentage points.

A Rasmussen Reports poll shows Obama with a nine-point lead over Clinton, 39 to 30 percent. Clinton leads among Democratic voters, while Obama has a wide lead among independents.

The survey of 1,774 likely Democratic primary voters was conducted Jan. 5-7, 2008. The margin of sampling error for the poll is +/- 2 percentage points.

Yeah, there's Rudy who's kind of getting a lot of people's attention here in Florida.

And so is McCain.

Well, just about any Republican will do for the white tourists getting tans.

What is going to be interesting on the Democratic side is how Barack will, or will not, energize the black Florida voters.

White, tanning Democrats here in Florida just don't seem to be getting much excited about anything....except if it rains.

Oh, yeah...the Mormon Church has a three hundred thousand acre cattle ranch up not far from Disney World.

I don't care if Barack will energize the African-Americans (or not). It's the Cuban-Americans in FL I would pander to. Fidel's not going to live forever, and the 55+ Cuban crowd wants to go back home!
When is Hillary going to annex Cuba? Is Barack going to open up unrestricted tourism to & from Cuba?

Wait! Cuba handed JFK (the glorious, young savior of the DNC) his ONLY stinging, defeat (Bay of Pigs). And nearly brought us to nuclear war (7.5 minutes away is too close).

But, the only thing the GOP dislikes more than abortion is Communists! How many military dictators have we propped up, for how long. Just to keep the Communists out of Vietnam, Afganistan, Taiwan, and Grenada?

It all comes down to Florida. By then, we'll have had enough of the incessant pandering, name-flopping, and flip-slinging.

If only ABC/Disney/Pixar could field a candidate.

How does take Mormon beef taste?

Vast misconception about the Cuban community in Florida. They won't go back to Cuba except as a vacation. They like what they've accomplished in America. And most Cubans vote Republican.

About the only ones that would go back are the Mariel Boatlift Bunch. But that's another story about the criminal element that Castro dumped on America when he emptied the Cuban prisoners. That Castro, what a practical joker.

Most Cuban Americans in Florida were never in Cuba, and if they were, they were too young to remember anything about Cuba. Hating Castro is kind of like the Red Soxs hating the Yankees, and vice versa. You don't really know why. You don't really know how it got started. But it's a tradition.

And when Castro dies, someone like Castro will take over.

Cuba is a hot tourist spot for Canadians and Europeans. Canadian and European dollars are stronger than American dollars. Cuba doesn't need American tourists. Though, American tourists who are wise to the ways know how to get to Cuba for a vacation.

All in all, it's a long standing GOP tradition to hate Castro to win Florida's electoral votes.

But the average Cuban American, if you ask them if they want to go back, they'll laugh. They'll go back for a vacation.
