Huckabee, Conservative Talk Radio Clash

Irony alert.

The Mike Huckabee election night party is being held in an event space in the Little Rock, Ark., headquarters of Clear Channel Communications. Clear Channel's subsidiary, Premiere Radio Networks, distributes Rush Limbaugh, who has been savaging Huckabee on the air. Rush says that Huckabee is staying in the race to help the hated John McCain.

The rift between conservative talk radio and Huckabee has gotten so bad that Huckabee suggested Monday that there was a conspiracy at work.

Clear Channel is owned by Bain Capital ... the firm that Mitt Romney used to run. Huckabee asked if that was the real reason talk radio has been agitating. Romney says he left the firm years ago and has no connection to the company anymore.
