Move Over Obama Girl ...

...There's a Mitt Girl, too. Actually, a couple of them.

While Mitt Romney was talking about how to revive the economy at a rally in Orange County, Ashton Schmidt was showing some entrepreneurial spirit of her own. The perky blond acting student with the Betty Boop voice worked the media corral handing out - well, not her business cards - just scraps of notebook paper with her name, the website of the Mitt Girls video and her phone number, in case any reporters wanted to call her up and ask her why she loved Mitt Romney.

As you undoubtedly recall, Obama Girl and Giuliani Girl (alas, her heart must be broken) faced off in a sexy, MTV-style internet video, extolling the virtues of their respective candidates with everything they had. The Mitt Girls are a little like that: half way between MTV and the cheer leading squad.

They are Ashton and her best friend Melissa Spiegel. Says Ashton: "everyone's welcome to become a Mitt Girl, that's the goal, to get everyone to become ... well, the females primarily."

Should you be considering, check out the representative Mitt Girls lyrics, as best as I could make them out: "Got me hot, make your taxes drop ... As a family man, he will go to the very top."

I really can't tell you much more than that. The Mitt Girls are cute, they can shake it, but they really need to work on the audio recording thing.

Still, The 60-year old grandfather of 11 must be so proud.
