Obama Picks Up Endorsement of Two Key Unions

And the hits just keep on coming for the Obama campaign.

The Illinois senator spent some of the afternoon traveling with Jim Hoffa, the president of the powerful Teamsters' Union. Earlier in the day, the 1.4 million member union gave Obama its backing in the Democratic presidential race, an endorsement that could help him a lot in a blue collar state like Ohio.

Earlier in the day, he also picked up the endorsement of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers. One union official said the union leadership liked Sen. Obama's "energy and vision."

But the Republican National Committee thought the Teamsters' Union endorsement suspect in particular. The Swamp quote RNC spokesman Alex Conant as sniping, "Nothing says 'change' like the Teamsters and James Hoffa."

I think that maybe exactly wrong Ellen...

I think you just like many other people underestimate the desire of the American people for change. as good as Bill was and there was still a lot about him that people didn't like. and hillary whether she likes it or not is tied to it all. Since the bulk of his support came from lower class people and minorites, there is a problem for her to compete with an actual minority who has no discernable faults. There is still a lot of talk about challenging him more on policy issues but he has proven that that is not the area of weakness that everybody thought it was. his only weakness that everyone is talking about now is his age and experience. But the truth is age is no real guage of greatness. I mean dr. king did all of his work before 40 just like jesus and mozart. Read up on your presidential history and find out how many of of the most influential ones had more than 10 years of so called national political experience... go ahead.. do it.. i dare you..

Ellen may be surprised. John F. Kennedy was kind of a "newbe" when he beat Nixon. I recall that JFK as young as he was, convinced Mr. Kruchev to take his missiles back home in 1962.
