President Clinton Goes on Rush Limbaugh

It's hard to imagine that this ever really happened ...

Last Tuesday, the same day as the Texas primary, former President Bill Clinton went on the Rush Limbaugh Show to talk about his wife's chances that day. (Limbaugh has been one of President Clinton's most ferocious critics for almost two decades.)

Limbaugh was sick that day for some reason and Mark Davis of WBAP in Ft. Worth- Dallas was host, but Limbaugh had already gone on record urging Republicans to cross-over and vote for Hillary Clinton because, as the Wall Street Journal reports, 'Limbaugh thinks Republicans can defeat Clinton in a general election."

But as Andrew Sullivan reports at theAtlantic.com's Daily Dish, "Bill saw an opening - and went there."

Here is the audio from the show.

Bill Clinton on the Rush Limbaugh show ... now you really have seen (and heard) everything.

Do Americans really want to spend another four or eight years as spectators of the Clintons and their almost unimaginable dysfunction? As a citizen, I cannot fathom how good, smart people can vote for them. For me, it's not about their ideology. It's about their ethics!

This shows, more than anything, that the Clintons will do anything to win. I don't know how much more we have to hear before people realize this is the case.

Smart move by Limbaugh. Cash in on the hype generated by the overwhelming incredulousness of having Clinton on his show, and mask his cowardice at facing a man he openly and loudly criticized for 20 years by faking ill. What a champ (chump?).

I heard when Dean was talking for
a tv channel. After choosing the nominee
with michigan and floriday delegates
the nominee can decide what to do with the delegates in floriday and michigan .
the can participate in the process but only after the nominee is choosen. it seems to fair . why no new org is talking about that?

I second Angsty's motion.

Why not look at the reality.

There are a good many Republicans and Democrats who do not trust Barack Obama.

There are a good many Republicans and Democrats and Independents alike who see Barack Obama's lack of experience as a dangerous element.

Period.

the Clintons will doe anything to win; Using anything and everyone at any cost. I idea that they care about their Democratic Party has gone. This thing about her exprience, what exprience, as a president of what, as a wife, I queston that, as a person working with the U S government, what major decisions did she make that was damageing to the country ?

Ethics you say? I don't know about you, but I would much rather have a president who cheated on his wife than have a president whose lies have killed over 3000 Americans and almost 100,000 Iraqi civilians.

Rush is a coward, he was not able to face President Clinton who would have been able to take him on and make him look like he really is, whatever, that might be. That's really too bad because I don't like Clinton but don't have a high opinion of Rush either!!

Our opinion of Mr. Clinton has hit the bottom of the barrel and is now sinking deep into the ground! Go Barack!

The thought of another Clinton White House is a revolting develoment to me.

I agree with Mr. Dave Bender above. The real number of Iraqis is probably five times 100,000.

What a country we have (an amazing place to live in).

What have this nation's leaders done and why have we let them.

McCain, Obama or Clinton are superlatives placed next to the current President.

I am a Goldwater Republican and all I can feel is "God help America".

What have we become in the eyes of the world? What will our grandchildren say about our apathy, eg. 60% voter turn out in presidential elections.

I hope the next president will be able to reason on his or her own.

Best regards to all.

Why would it be "hard to imagine"? The Clintons have acted like Republicans this whole primary season. Billy was right where he belonged--with "hate radio."
