Edwards Skips North Carolina Before Primary

Hey, John Edwards, now that you've been knocked out of the Democratic presidential race, and both Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama are hounding you to endorse one of them before next Tuesday's primary, what are you going to do?

Go to Disney World!

Yes, the Raleigh News and Observer reports that former Sen. Edwards has quietly left the state for a family vacation in at Walt Disney World in Florida, "fueling speculation that he's not going to endorse either Democratic presidential candidate before the May 6 primary."

But the paper notes that Edwards has pulled this before. In 2004 he took his family on a Disney vacation, leading many to believe he was out of the running for Sen. John Kerry's VP pick. But when no one (as in the media) was watching, he flew to D.C. to meet with Kerry.

Probably this time he just wants to escape media questions about who he is going to support.

At least he will be in a "real" Fantasy Land.

I think he's stuck. I feel that if Barack Obama had a mandatory universal healthcare plan, Senator Edwards would have already endorsed him. But he doesn't. I say this as I see Senator Clinton's acceptance of money from federal lobbyists as a direct opposite to Senator Edwards' message.

He's probably just going to see if he can drum up some litigation against the Disney empire. Or to get a $400 haircut from Mickey. Or to see if the seven dwarves are tired of working in a mill.

yeah Disney is making beaucoup bucks these days. Mickey's charging $400 for a hair cut and Minnie is selling cheap toilet seats and screwdrivers to the military for about as much per item. sheesh whatta racket!

edwards should just decide. everyone's gonna pressure him to endorse someone. obama's message will will help his image, whereas clinton's message will only hurt him
