The Christian Science Monitor: Sudan Agrees to 26,000 UN Troops in Darfur -- "The Darfur conflict may be coming closer to an end following the United Nations Security Council's unanimous decision on Tuesday to deploy a 26,000-strong peacekeeping force to Sudan's troubled region."

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution: Georgia's Black Consumer Market Booms -- "While other minority groups have seen steep growth rates in recent years, the sheer might of Georgia's black consumers continues to chug along. Buying power among blacks has grown more than 50 percent in seven years, from $38 billion in 2000 to nearly $58 billion now, UGA says. The growth rate during that time outpaced the national rate."

The Associated Press: Zimbabwe Introduces $200,000 Bill. It's Worth One U.S. Buck -- "The central bank unveiled a new 200,000 Zimbabwe dollar note today, double the face value of what had been the highest denomination bill in a country where bundles of notes are needed for the simplest transactions."

ABC News: Robin Roberts Faces Cancer With Courage, Grace -- "Roberts said she'd found a lump in her breast and promptly sought medical attention. She said a mammogram failed to show the cancer, but an ultrasound ordered by her physician did find the lump and a biopsy confirmed the diagnosis. Surgery is scheduled for Friday."

I just listened to Wednesday's broadcast and the Kamara Umuntu feature caught my attention.
As an FYI for everyone in the U.S there is a similar magazine Kitu Kizuri http://www.kitukizuri.com/

I've also been an avid reader of www.mimimagazine.com an online lifestyle magazine for African women.
