Bush Reprimands Congress, Says He's Still Relevant

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for the interview with Mrs. Myrlie Evers Williams. The show is not even over that I had to e-mail you (and doing it from work - something I have never done before). Mrs Evers Williams reminds us of the many personal sacrifices that so many people made for us to have opportunities. We shouldn't squander those opportunities, we have to take them and be the best that we can be - if only to honor the people who fought for us to have many rights. And we must remember to 'send the elevator back down,' continue their work and build upon their legacies. Every person can make a difference.

I really don't care about the President's approval rating; he hasn't been relevant to me in seven years. Also, if the President keeps telling himself he's relevant, good for him - it will nullify most people's thinking that Dick Cheney is really the person running the country.

George Bush is relevent bedcause the
Republican paltry party cares more about unity than this country. They will be standing on the deck insisting that the ship is water proof as it disappears into the deep, Bush is an embarrassment to this country and should be impeached or at least neutralized. The Republicans can't get past the past to do what's right. They will usher in a generation of Democratic rule while they discuss impeaching Bill Clinton and diaries of Reagon. Sad days for a party gone South literally and figuratively.

I think thta president BUSH has no clue at all on how to run our nation of many nationalities. He's stillcought up in TEXAS tryin to be a cowboy..But you know the cow boys have never won a war..all htey did was murder so many and than brag about it later on..thats the way BUSH runs his life....

I am counting the days that remain for the dreaded Bush administration.

But that's not what I really wanted to focus on with my comment here. I wanted to raise the issue of Farai's discussion with Michael Meyers on Thursday.

Meyers described the rash of noose hangings as no big deal...and he basically describes Black folks who speak out as whiners. Now I agree...there has probably been too much melodrama in certain quarters... however, Meyers goes off the deep end with his analysis of this problem, particularly his claim that the nooses are just harmless pranks.
