The Boston Globe: Some Black Men Say They're Held to Higher Standards Than Whites in the Workplace -- "Unspoken rules limit how [Black men] interact in predominantly white workplaces. In some cases, they must dress more formally than their co-workers, speak softly, or generally comport themselves in unaggressive ways to counteract stereotypes that paint black men as unintelligent, violent, and dangerous."

Can you relate to this? If so, share your experience.

There are times when I am so serious and professional that I don't laugh when someone tells a funny story.
Other times I wear a suit to work and no one else is wearing a suit. Also, either I developed this mindset or I was just aware of it unconsciously. The only thing I want when people think of me is about my work ethic and professionalism.
