Let Them Eat Kwanzaa Cake

Food Network might not have any black TV chefs, but that hasn't stopped them from giving props to Kwanzaa. This video came across our desks today ... let's just say the apple pie filling and acorn garnish will have you saying "Kujichagulia" in a completely different way.

That is too funny for words. Who came up with that abomination? And I think as long as Paula Deen is Food Network's sweetheart, you won't see any black faces around. She's cornered the soul food market.

This is ridiculous! I used to watch Food Network back when there was a more diverse group of hosts. There were a couple of sisters hosting a show...Ming Tsai had a show...but, now it's turned into the White Food Network and I really have no need for it unless I go to their website to look for an interesting recipe. In a country as culturally diverse as ours it's really a shame that their programs reflect such a bland palette.

C'mon, you people are getting worked up over a cook! When I was in the marine corps, they were dumber than dirt. If you could'nt shoot, you were a cook. If their brains were dynamite we all would've been dead! Y'all getting worked up over nothing. Too thin skinned. Buy some skin thickener cream or somethin.

OMG! This left me smiling and speechless at the same time. Here I am, a black person who doesn't get or celebrate Kwanzaa. But a white person like Sandra Lee took the time to acknowledge the holiday . . . hey that's cool! I feel like we all can hold hands and sing kumbayah.

She should be on the Jerry Springer show.
