I love myself some "ReeRee" but she shouldn't have gone there. Beyonce was not trying to bestow nor did she refer to Tina as "Queen of Soul". She was "QUEEN", #1brick house and a bag of chips in that sexy silver number that show what sixty-eight can look like. AHA! And to think I even defended that yellow get-up Aretha was wearing. There is no uproar when Elvis Presley is referred to as the "King" and Michael Jackson is referred to as the "King of Pop".

Aretha's response WREAKED with immaturity and envy.

The haughty "diva" attitude is tired. The problem is that for some reason, "we" think there is only one nation and therefore one queen. That leaves no room for the co-existence of numerous legendary people, many of whom have been great role models for subsequent generations. That is one of the things that the AA population has to rise above because it is dated and limiting!!!

ok,ReeRee is the Queen of Soul, but isn't Tina the Queen of Rock? ReeRee needs to get over this and start showing up for proformances. I have had tickets to see her 3 times and 3 times she has canceled - in different cities..........How about being mad at the title of Queen of no-shows

"Ree Ree" as others are calling her--- should have exercised her right to remain, "Queen" by remaining silent... now she has a spot on an otherwise spotless career... Now people will say, "You'd never hear Tina say that"....
ON A SIDE NOTE:
I do agree with the other blogger... we need to focus on Obama-Hillary and more importantly, those "Super Delegates" and what THEY plan on doing to us, or on behalf of us..... Their power needs to be discussed, explained and monitored.... Who are they anyway?

Simply put Aretha needs to get over it. She could be hurt if Beyounce said "Queen of Soul" ,but she didn't. Besides Aretha is what they call in show business a "diva". I remember on VH-1 Divas one year they did a pop up style on it and Aretha had them turn off the A/C thinking it would affect her vocal chords. Now please tell me is that not a diva or what? Both Aretha and Tina have both solidified their places in music and no one is going to take that away from either of them. I'd expect that from someone less mature, but I guess ego is a heckuva drug too.
