Umm ... Uhh ... Is That Supposed to Be Barack?

Barack Doll

DDP

A German dollmaker is "paying tribute" to Barack Obama with a new doll. The limited edition figurine -- which costs $216 -- wears a black suit, a blue necktie, and a flag lapel pin.

Offermann admits that the physical resemblance to Obama could have been closer. "The doll works more on a symbolic level," he said. "It's a symbiosis of the clothing and the fact it's a black doll."

Offermann, who admits he is a "personal fan" of Obama, explains that he wanted to make the doll out of his respect for Barack Obama. "I find it sensational that a colored or black person is this close to becoming US president," he said.

That thing doesn't look anything like Obama. Only an absolute fool would wste their money on that. This guy is just tring to make a buck and it's sickening.

I'm sure he meant well, but it's a bit off the mark. I think everyone experiences a little awkwardness trying to adjust to this Black President concept. He gets an 'A' for effort.

Physical resemblance could have been closer was the UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE YEAR.

Guess the designer went with the 'they all look alike'

too many advancements in technology not to have gotten a closer resemblance. at least use the color swatch!

I want to know what century Olfermann was stuck in to use the term "colored" person in relation to Barack Obama.

I'm beginning to see the truthiness in Stephen Colbert notion yesterday: Germans should never do humor or satire.

My take: he had a St. Sylvester statue that no one was using and put a coat and tie on it.

There's a MUCH better one by a Brooklyn based company called Jailbreak Toys. Should've covered this instead:
