Inside Olafur Elliasson's art studio.
In the next couple of months you might stumble over some drift wood in the middle of Berlin.
That wood that was scattered by Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson. "Innen Stadt Aussen" or Inner City Out, is the first solo-show by Eliasson in a Berlin institution. The central theme of Eliasson's show comes from his close relationship with Berlin, a city he has lived and worked in for many years.

The exhibition deals with the relationship between museum, the Martin Gropius Bau, and city, architecture and landscape. Olafur Eliasson profits from Berlin's ever changing environment and comments on it through various projects in public spaces linking the Martin Gropius Bau to other places within the city.
The exhibition is curated by Daniel Birnbaum, art critic, curator and Rector of the Staatliche Hochschule fuer Bildende Kuenste, Staedelschule, Frankfurt am Main.
