"It's like riding a cannonball," Schieffer says of his Ape.
We're beginning our Berlin Sounds series with the "Passenger Espresso."
Jan Schieffer and Garth Gregory run "Passenger Espresso," a mobile coffee shop in Berlin. They love vintage machines from Italy, especially the sound of them.
So they decided to convert the back of a 27 year old Ape, a tiny three-wheeled truck, into a fully functioning espresso bar.
Every Saturday, Schieffer sells his own coffee blend from the Ape at the Boxhagener Market in Friedrichshain. Just recently, they opened a "Passenger Espresso" coffee shop, without wheels, at Oppelner Str. 45 in Kreuzberg.
