Play Ball! Photos For Baseball Fans

Summer means baseball, simple as that. Jason Landry, owner and director of Boston's Panopticon Gallery, shares the inspiration for an exhibition that opened there July 14:

I've always been a baseball fan. Growing up in New England, The Boston Red Sox were always my team. In some way, my experience as a photography collector indirectly relates to my youth, when I began to collect baseball cards. Though collecting and organizing these player portraits kept me occupied, obtaining that complete team set always eluded me. As a photography collector, I am always hunting for images with the understanding that I may not be able to have them all.

The show features the work of David Levinthal, Arthur Griffin, Ernest Withers and others. Do you have photos of the great American pastime? Add them to our Flickr pool!
