Whether or not we're ready, signs of fall are here — at least in certain parts of the country. This photo, taken in Portland, Ore., was added to our Flickr group by Sebastian Bibb-Barrett.
"I saw this tree ... it was the only one in the vicinity that had turned color, and it had dropped its leaves in a bright yellow circle around its trunk. The sky was rather overcast, and it sprinkled a little rain on us while we were there, which added to the feeling that ... summer had indeed come to a close."
