This week's special guest on the Political Junkie segment on NPR's Talk of the Nation is Taylor Branch, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author who has a new book — "The Clinton Tapes" — on his interview sessions with Bill Clinton during his presidency.

Plus: Obama searches for an Afghanistan policy, Mike Castle's Senate bid in Delaware, John Ensign's ethics woes, an update on NY 23 ... and President Petraeus?

Join host Neal Conan and me every Wednesday at 2 p.m. ET for the Junkie segment on TOTN, where you can often, but not always, find interesting conversation, useless trivia questions and sparkling jokes. And you can win a Political Junkie T-shirt!

If you must, you can hear last week's segment here.

If your local NPR station doesn't carry TOTN, you can hear the program on the Web or on HD Radio. And if you are a subscriber to XM/Sirius radio, you can find the show there as well (siriusly).

And if you live in Chicago, you may have the same concerns as the Windy City's Mona Stern, one of dozens to write in on this subject:

I really miss you on Wednesdays on WBEZ from Chicago. They really made a mistake to cancel that show.

Well, here is some good news. Scott Cameron on TOTN's staff informs me that there are two stations, albeit low wattage stations, that carry the program and reach parts of Chicago. They are WLPR of Merrill, Ind. (89.1 FM) and WKCC of Kankakee, Ill. (91.1 FM). Chicago listeners, let me know if these stations work!
