As America watches with fascination the growing number of "It's All Politics" podcast fans on Facebook — it's currently at 918 (or 920 if you include Tareq and Michaele Salahi) — there's new stuff (and a new episode) to talk about.
President Obama announces a new troop deployment to Afghanistan; raise your hand if you're happy. One person will be happy next Tuesday, when Massachusetts Democrats go to the polls to pick a Senate nominee for the seat long held by Ted Kennedy. Opponents of same-sex marriage have reason to be happy in New York. It's too early for anyone to be really happy in Atlanta, as that mayoral contest may go to a recount. And, judging by the headlines regarding the clemency he supported for suspected cop killer Maurice Clemmons, I get the sense that former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is not feeling very happy these days. (And tell me the song at the end isn't perfect!)
And you can hear it all right here:
