Every Friday on Tell Me More, NPR's program hosted by Michel Martin, there is a segment called the "Barbershop," in which a bunch of guys (as well as Michel) sit around and weigh in on the latest happenings in politics, sports and pop culture.
This week the "shop" was moderated by Michel; the usual moderator, opinion columnist Jimi Izrael, was off on Valentine's Day duty for the show. The panel included Arsalan Iftikhar, of the Muslim Guy.com; syndicated columnist Ruben Navarrette; Johns Hopkins political science professor Lester Spence; and, gulp, me.
This week's conversation: the rumors encircling New York Gov. David Paterson, first lady Michelle Obama's "Let's Move" initiative to fight childhood obesity, and a controversial Doritos advertisement that aired during Sunday's NFL Super Bowl. Plus: What was your favorite Super Bowl commercial?
You can listen to the segment here.
