This week's edition of our "It's All Politics" podcast focuses on the three things that have deeply disturbed our nation in the past several days:
One, the botched carbombing in Times Square. One of our long held fears — a major terrorist attack in the center of a metropolitan area — almost became a reality; disturbingly, it failed not because of anything law enforcement accomplished but because of the ineptness of the alleged terrorist.
Two, the continued oil leak from the BP tanker that is on track to make a serious impact on the Gulf States' environment ... and causing a whole bunch of politicians to rethink their positions on drilling.
And three, the return of James Traficant.
Plus: Primary results in Indiana, North Carolina and Ohio ... the end of the line for Utah's Bob Bennett? ... and memories of the Kent State shootings tragedy, 40 years later.
