Announcing The Official 'Elena Kagan Confirmation Vote' Contest

At some point, the Senate Judiciary Committee will begin confirmation hearings for President Obama's nomination of Solicitor General Elena Kagan as an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.  Which will be followed by a full Senate vote.

And you know what that means.  Another Political Junkie contest.

The first person with the exact accurate Senate tally on Kagan's confirmation will win a Geraldine Ferraro for Congress button from her first campaign in 1978.  With Obama naming two women to the court, the prize of a Ferraro button — herself a trailblazer for women — makes sense.  Plus, I have an extra one right in front of me.
