Graves, Backed By Tea Party, Beats Hawkins In All-GOP Georgia 09 Runoff

Meet Congressman-elect Tom Graves.

Graves, a former state senator who led in the initial May 11 primary, defeated fellow Republican Lee Hawkins for the seat vacated by gov. candidate Nathan Deal (R).  Both candidates are conservative but Graves had the backing of Tea Party supporters.

Graves will now complete the rest of Deal's term.  He and Hawkins face each other again in the July 20 primary.
