Thank You New Hampshire!

Back from a wonderful trip to the Granite State, where Talk of the Nation host Neal Conan and I — ably assisted by TOTN producer Barrie Hardymon —  had a most enjoyable visit with the folks at New Hampshire Public Radio.

We broadcast the Political Junkie segment from the studios at NHPR in Concord on Wednesday, where our guests were three of the five N.H. Republican Senate candidates running to succeed the retiring Judd Gregg:  Ovide Lamontagne (in the studio), Kelly Ayotte and Bill Binnie.  Half the program was trying to get Neal to remember how to pronounce "Ayotte."  (Listen to the entire segment here.)

Later that evening Neal and I spoke before a packed (and sold out!) house at the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester, an event hosted by NHPR's Laura Knoy (an NPR alumna).

Thanks to everyone who made the event such a success:  the great staff at NHPR, as well as those generous donors who make public radio possible.

I suspect we'll all be back in New Hampshire before long.
