Obama Campaign Responds to Race-Card Accusations

From Obama spokesman Bill Burton:

This is a race about big challenges--a slumping economy, a broken foreign policy, and an energy crisis for everyone but the oil companies. Barack Obama in no way believes that the McCain campaign is using race as an issue, but he does believe they're using the same old low-road politics to distract voters from the real issues in this campaign, and those are the issues he'll continue to talk about.

Yes let's talk about the issues! Because the issues aren't just another distraction from the real problems that our country creates in the world for the sake of want and ignorance. Aren't they? Aren't they?

Unfortunately, the lurid curiosity of our consumer culture, which doesn't hesitate to gobble up the cult of personality, sordid disasters, and everything that's a non-issue, makes it too easy for campaign marketers. Consume wisely. On the subject of the Ludicrous video, I say if you're going to have a political music video for a candidate, it should always feature kids and dogs.
