Another shot fired in the Great Celeb War of 2008.
This new McCain web ad, called "Fan Club" compares Obama to Elvis, the Beatles, and Bono, then calls Obama "dreamy" and quotes a fan saying he has "soft eyes." It also states declaratively that "we know he...isn't ready to lead." (Usually we get that as an ominous question: "but is he ready to lead?")
Is it just us, or is the fame war thing getting pretty tired?
I went to a speech obama gave in my town.
It was terrifying, this enormous mass of frenzied people. They wouldn't even let him speak, constantly screaming devotions from the audience. It's a cult of personality for sure.
There was a one man drum circle in line to get in. He had a paper sign that said: "If voting changed anything, it would be illegal". I'm afraid it's true.
