The Perils of Rockstardom

A new poll from the Pew Research Center suggests that some voters are suffering from "Obama Fatigue."

48% of respondents told Pew they've heard too much about Obama lately. And the exposure doesn't seem to be helping Obama's brand; 22% say they now view him less favorably than they once did, compared to 16% who like Obama more these days.

Only 26% of those polled said they've been hearing too much about John McCain...but, as with Obama, slightly more respondents (23%) said they have a less favorable view of him than a more favorable view (18%).

But McCain may still have a chance to wear out his welcome. According to the Project for Excellence in Journalism, last week (July 28 - August 3) was the first week this year in which McCain garnered as much press coverage as Obama.

"And the publicity doesn't seem to be helping Obama's brand"

I've said it before and I'll state it here again.

A political candidate is not a brand. We should never have come to think of our politicians as brands, but it is something that has been DONE to us.

Vote third party or don't vote at all. It's the only sane choice.

It's Amazing to me that this much focus is put on these polls. I understand the nature of trying to make it look close and keep people Interested but it seems producers could figure out how to make the issues as important as these polls. Sure would be a great service to the country since it's never been done in history before.

Jody, If you don't vote you will be helping Obama and deniying your own country..you have a choice to vote for McCain and help your country...do not cry and whining later if Obama gets elected and turn this country into a Chaotic Socialism, then you will regret that you did not help to stop him for that...vote and don't be a chicken!

I'm not voting for mccain. That man is mentally unbalanced.

It doesn't matter which of these weasels gets elected.

They are both on the same side.

Who is making ads?
They are not getting through.
I do not think they should put Obama in the ads.
I love him,
But not everyone does.
They would accept the Democrats back in the White House
Accept the health plan, the policies, just some do not like Obama. some wanted Hillary, some dont like black people. That's about 80% of the undecided voters.
My husband is black.
There are more racists than you might realize.
They will vote for the Democrats.
Who is making the ads?

John Mccain has spent every day of his life on exactly the goverment health plan he says would be terrible for the rest of America. If he were to go out and try to buy health insurance the way he proposes, he would never be able to.
Lucky he is a multi-millionaire.

Who is making ads?
