HRC Praises Obama's Performance

Ah! My dear First Lady! My kind of Lady! I still love you dearly. I thought of voting for you from the start; I would vote for you if you would win the nomination. I will vote for you the next time.

For now, once again, I agree with your view. Senator Obama is the better candidate who should get our votes and be our next president.

I think Mccain was still dwelling in the past but did not tell us about his vision for the future. he seems to be still fighting the Vietnam war 40 years ago. he is too aggressive, fight and war. kind of an angry person.

thank you 1000 times over Hillary for telling the honest to God truth. I am supporting Barack Obama, but I still send money to your campaign. We are all in this together. Our children and grandchildren cannot survive if we don't stop the current administration from staying in power another 4 years. I am praying daily that Americans will open their eyes and their hearts and vote for Barack Obama, Joe Biden and the democratic ticket. America needs a true makeover from the bottom up.

No He did not, neither candidate answered the questions, they were more interested in making the other look bad. I think a moderator should have a loud bull horn and when a candidate refuses to answer the question and starts stabbing at the other the loud bull horn blows until they get the hint. Hey be a responsable and answer the darn question and quit playing games.

Something very interesting i noticed with senator McCain, the demeanor he portrayed toward Obama "naive, you do not understand, facial expression of like an immortal being confronting a mortal being. If mcain cannot connect with his equal a fellow senator , how can he connect with me a G.E.D holder. What is wrong with this picture?.

I am a democrat, a woman, a former Navy WAVE during the Viet Nam war. I question Senator McCain's logic. Towards the end of the debate last night S. McCain tried to state Senator Obama was stubborn.... What???? Did anyone else find this odd that S. McCain would declare the Iraq war was essential and we need to do anything in our power to be sure we win and the military come home only after the victory. This is what the politicians were demanding at the end of the Viet Nam war. Why didn't S. McCain learn that lesson? How can he possibly say S. Obama is stubborn - he and President Bush have insisted they time and again that their positions are the only honorable response. In my opinion, Senator McCain is being hard-headed (just like our President) and should not be trusted to listen too and balance others opinions before taking action.

McCain seemed angry, cynical and vindictive repeating: Obama does not understand, naivite etc., with every answer trying to attack Obama, who kept his cool, did not respond to the insults themselves. Very smart. But the issues are important and we MUST have a drastic change, a transformation and total clean up of the terrible mess Bush left us with. - unbelievable -

Considering the string of blundering judgments perpetrated by the administration,the Republican handlers are, no doubt, sitting in some back room astonished that they are even in this race.

And not just in it, but running in some places neck and neck.

As long as the mantras of misinformation continue they actually have a shot at this race.

Truly unbelievable...a testament to a monumental lack of courage on the part of millions of Americans to face their own failures of belief.

McCain was sorely unconvincing and more than a bit scary.

McCain has shown us that he is not fit to fill the job, just look at who he picked for the VP slot, the pundits said at that time that this decision was either a very bold or very stupid move on his part..hmmmmm Looks like he is dealing with his karma now, maybe that would explain his hostility, rude, condesending behavior last night. What is he so angry about...? Scary to say the least.

It is obvious McCain does not know the meaning of the term "Middle Class". Having spent some years in the military I know his type, I know he was and is to this day a mean, angry and intolerant officer. Who really has no regard for the common folk.

One reality of the war in Iraq, contrary to McCain's beliefs: There are no winners and there will be no victory. Both Iraq and America are already loosers. Both have lost countless combat troops, in addition Iraq has lost countless civilians. Iraq is in a physical shambles and America is in a moral/mental shambles. Is this what we call winning? Is this what we want victory to look like?

Senator Obama remained graceful, even-tempered, tolerant and respective of Senator McCain, despite Senator McCain's dismissive body language, condescending accusations of Obama's supposed naivete and lack of comprehension, and an arrogant, interuptive attitude throughout the debate. McCain, historically, has been all about himself. His schooling in Annapolis was more about the pursuit of parties and skirts than carrying on an established family tradition; his decision to leave his kids and first wife, who was disfigured in a tragic car accident, and who had waited years for his return from Vietnam - he was married to a much younger and very wealthy woman less than a month after the divorce. McCain and "company" own 7 homes and 13 cars; he's a hot tempered, self-centered, self-seeking good ol' boy that will continue to look after "#1" for his remaining years, and his temperment and volatile nature should not be allowed anywhere near the "red button". Even with a brief look at his reckless choice of running mate, Governor Palin, will reveal a woman frighteningly unfit for the VP slot, and light years away from suitable for the Presidential seat. WAKE UP AMERICA! We're heading right down the drain, and continue to lose standing and power in a dangerous world. Vote for Barack Obama on Nov. 4.

As a retired career Naval officer, I have kept waiting for Sen McCain to give me any reason, no matter how slight, to vote for him...any reason. Hasn't happened. He need not forget his Viet-Nam imprisionment; for enduring that with dignity I admire him immensely, but--beyond that-- get the Viet-Nam war behind you Senator. I am sorry it is not a Clinton-Obama ticket, but Sen Biden was a good enough choice coupled with Sen McCain's missteps to push me into the Obama-Biden camp. Besides I like my moose alive

It's strange that only Obama supporters seem to read npr.org. I'm undecided on the presidential election, but the astounding groupthink that informs the pro-Obama canon is, to say the least, a personal turnoff. I watched the debate twice and don't feel that McCain was condescending. I used to believe that the Democratic party was about free-thinking. However, even a cursory review of the posts above demonstrates a profound orthodoxy--an absence of critical thought--that approaches that of the pro-life lunatics.

You may think you are free-thinking, Glenn D., but are you calculating the 5 trillion surplus in 2000 that GW Bush was greeted with and the growing trillions in deficit that will greet the next administration? W. Bush came to the Presidency with a history of bankruptcy ..... first Arbusto and then his second company Harkin...and now the USA. What a surprise! For those who are not in the over 250,000 dollar per year category we are only looking for someone to lead this nation that understands the deep need for, may I say it, change. And for those who think about the air they breathe and the water they drink they must consider the assault that has and is happening to our environment. Glenn D., think freely about your choice, and please look deeply into these very real problems and who will honestly try to deal with them.

I used to respect McCain although I didn't agree with him. No longer - his latest decisions - Palin, "calling off the campaign" - show him to be dangerous.

My mother used to say to me," Son, the worst blind is that one the refuses to see". As I can see by the polls, there is a good number of blind people, that let their ego, or racist character of their personality control their judgements. I am a republican, but I never voted for someone because he is a republican. I always voted for that person that I believe can serve my country better. I have no doubts that Obama is the person that I must vote for. Everybody has the right to choose
for whoever they want to vote, but theys should not screw their country in the process. More four yeard of what we have had during these last 8 years, will certainly put this country and the world in a peril in many aspects. Wake up voters!.

Glen D.--We all watched a long campaign, we all watched a debate and a few of us know a little something about history. What you dismiss and misunderstand as "groupthink" is really just a LOT of THINKING people reaching a conclusion that Obama is better suited than John McCain.
Careful with your labeling when you do not know who you are talking to, okay?
