McCain Still Undecided About Tomorrow's Debate

Has anyone really been thinking, wow, this guy who hasn't cast a vote on anything in the Senate since early April, who thought the economy was sound last week, and has a professed lack of knowledge on the subject is the guy we need to rally everyone around a banner?

When do we get to see the transcript from the photo opp? It was after all one of the most important meetings in the history of our country. So I want more than pictures, any one have a copy of the transcript?

And it is just to funny he was practicing for the debate when he decided to cancel it. Honest, if Senator McCain is not ready for a debate after all this time, he will never be ready for a 3:00 am phone call.

The President doesn't get to form a commission to make those big decisions that need a fast answer and require knowing things like history.

Maybe Ron Paul will show up for the Republicans as he had a delegate or two?

Please, we are talking about the Presidency of the United States. If John McCain cannot double task now, I do not want him as my President.

McCain remains actively involved in attempting to screw up a deal in Washington for purely political purposes and to avoid a debate for himself and his useless running mate. McCain used to be an honorable man until schmidt got him on message. I will never vote for or forgive McCain.

Participating would go a long way towards providing some clarity on at least one recent event, the presidential election. Sen. McCain deserves the criticism on this issue. One point for Sen. Obama. I like the Ron Paul idea, he'll invigorate the debate.

How can he cancel the debate which will only take 90 minutes?This is just a vote bumping move in my opinion.He is after all a presidential canidate right?Why not put some of the middle eastern problems on hold?After all we do have alot of money involved over seas that we sure could use at home right?With elections so close the debate must gone on!

Well said Mike. I used to have respect for McCain but he seems to have sacrificed his ideology and principles for his asperations. Anymore the man seems more a traitor than a patriot.

Cancelling Day 1 of the RNC due to Ike - understandable.

Cancelling your CNN / Larry King (who is by far no heavy hitter) interview because of "Palin's (spokeman's) terrible treatment" - i.e. - "What executive decisions has Palin made as Commander in Chief of Alaska's Nat'l Guard?"....answer- "Uh, well, uh,..." Boy - that was tough!

Cancelling your campaign temporarily? Well...you're still campaigning actually.

Cancelling Letterman's interview to go to DC - meanwhile taking the same timeslot to interview with Katie Couric? Wow - you're scared of Letterman? How are you going to deal with Iran?

Cancelling the debate?

HAVE YOU HEARD OF TELEPHONES BUDDY? The rumor is you can't use computers. You don't have to fly to DC to be part of the discussion - we have high tech means - phones, video conferencing, instant communication! Hello!

That's at least 5 cancellations in the last 3 weeks over mostly nothing (not Ike) - so what is to prevent you from cancelling any or all of your campaign promises or platforms when you're president? All I see is weakness and strategic distractions.
