NPR Correspondent David Greene fills in for Liane Hansen as Host of Weekend Edition Sunday and teaches Scott Simon a little something about being a Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. Who's your favorite team? Do you paint your face with your team colors? Our Senior Editor Tony Marcano has some thoughts below. Post your story too!

Being not nearly as erudite or photogenic as David Greene (I have the proverbial face made for radio), I'll avoid the goofy video log and just tell you about my passion for the New York Giants here. Excuse me, I meant the New York Giants, champions of the National Football League. Let me repeat that: CHAMPIONS OF THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE.

Yeah, I know it sounds smug, but I've earned the right to be at least a little arrogant. After all, I'm no fair-weather fan who just jumped on the Big Blue bandwagon. I remember the days of Spider Lockhart and Tucker Frederickson. I suffered through the years when the Giants' best players were punters and kickers (that's a shoutout to Dave Jennings and Pete Gogolak I'm still scarred by that whole Joe Pisarcik fiasco. If you don't know about that, look it up — recalling it in detail brings me too much pain.

But now we've got Eli Manning and Earth, Wind and Fire, and I can revel in every victory. I can smirk at the "experts" who declared the Giants dead after Michael Strahan retired and Osi Umenyiora got hurt and Plaxico Burress placed himself on the idiot list. Best of all, I can represent in enemy territory. Speaking of which, I have question for fans of the Washington DC team with the unutterable nickname: this is supposed to be a great football city, yet you let half of Steeler Nation take over FedEx Field when Pittsburgh came to town. What's up with that?

As for this weekend's playoffs, I'm not going to bother to predict the outcome of the Eagles-Giants game since you know what I'll say. Instead, let's hear what you have to say. Even if you're in Philadelphia.
