Again, with all things Harry Potter... please no one ruin the ending for us! And we'll do our best not to do it for you. Anyway, with seven Harry books now finished, a lot of kids have grown up with Harry, literally, and he's almost a part of the family. I know (though I'm not a kid) Harry's been on a lot of interesting vacations with my family, for instance, almost like a literary Flat Stanley. Where has Harry traveled with you?
This isn't exactly where Harry traveled with me, but where I traveled without him.
When "Order of the Phoenix" came out in 2003, I was in the middle of a mission trip to Ecuador with my church and obviously could not get a copy until I returned to the States. As soon as we cleared customs in Miami, however, almost half of our group ran to the nearest book store, bought the book (after having carefully saved $30 for this exact purpose before the trip even started), and read it all the way back home.
I went to a language school in Guatemala for 6 weeks in the summer of 2003, and I left the day Order of the Phoenix came out. Despite the fact that I had to pack and should have been well-rested for the journey, I stayed up until midnight, went to a release party at the local bookstore, and got my companion for the journey - Harry Potter. The book kept me rather busy during my first week in Guatemala, and it even forced me to spend more time than was advisable in my flea-infested bed! But it was worth it in the end...
You have said it very well.
