It is eminently possible to become so engrossed in an article that you murmur to yourself "this should be a play!" It is even more possible when that article is written by George Packer -- he of the perfect prose, and riveting research. When I read this article about Iraqis working with the U.S. in Baghdad (by Packer) in the New Yorker, I had that reaction, and voila! He did.
