In recent years, more and more professional athletes and bodybuilders have admitted that they've used, or still use, performance-enhancing drugs.
And lest we forget, in recent years, more and more professional athletes and bodybuilders have been forced to admit that they've used, or still use, performance-enhancing drugs.
In a new documentary, called Bigger, Stronger, Faster*, Christopher Bell tries to figure out why athletes, including his two brothers, use steroids. He asks why Americans aspire to have muscular physiques, like Arnold Schwarzenegger's and Hulk Hogan's. And he goes to Capitol Hill to ask congressmen about the politicization of performance-enhancing drugs. (Several years ago, President Bush mentioned them in his State of the Union address.)
Do you think that politicians should investigate steroid use? Do you think that performance-enhancing drugs should be illegal? Have you ever used them? If so, what tempted you to try them? How long did you use them?
