The quote by Tony Snow at the first part of this segment personifies HUGE problem that has typified the Bush White House. That in the face of widespread public criticism and obvious failings of the unilateral war policy most in Bush's inner circle saw it as their job to 'rally around' the failing policies. The ultimate result of this was that Tony Snow and others in the administration flat out lied to the American people. Whatever you say of Mr. Snow, what I took away from his and other's 'work' in the White House was that it was a disgrace to our nation and to our political institutions. Sorry to be so harsh to a deceased person but the fact of the matter is this nation and its people will be paying for the Bush administration's mistakes because people like Tony Snow choose to 'rally around' the president instead of question his terrible policy decisions.

Tony was one of the Classiest guys you will ever meet. A terrible loss for America and for true journalism. Russert, although a nice guy himself, couldn't shine Tony's shoes.

I disagreed with Tony Snow on almost every topic, but I respected his knowledge. Dana Perino, on the other hand, was almost comical when she talked about needing to know American history for her job. This from a woman who admitted she didn't know the difference between the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban Missile crisis.

She's truly the poster child for the Bush administration...a determined ignorance of history seems to be their credo.
