Around here, we can't stop talking about McCain's VP pick, Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska. When news broke Friday of his selection, the gears started grinding and I feel like I'm playing catch-up, learning about her political career (bridge to nowhere, maverick), her beliefs (abstinence, intelligent design), and her biography (busy mom, fisherwoman, NRA member). I think it's safe to say most of us were caught off-guard, so today we're bringing it to you -- what we know so far, and how conservatives feel about the pick. In our second hour, the incomparable Wynton Marsalis joins us to talk about his new book, Moving to Higher Ground: How Jazz Can Change Your Life. I could listen to him talk about anything, and I'm especially looking forward to hearing about the lessons behind our American art form. Finally, we'll do a Hurricane Gustav update, and follow up in the hardest hit areas.
