Winston needs better lighting, but the watermelon looks delicious.

Another holiday party, and you forgot your camera. But you've probably got a cell phone with a camera in your pocket, right? Think you can't take good pictures with it? Think again. Wired's got five simple tips to help you make the most of your cameraphone. Above, two pictures I took with mine. Winston, that handsome feline on the left, could look much better if I'd heeded tip #3: Light is your friend. But the watermelon, on the right? It's not bad at all. Looks good enough to eat, thanks to good light and tip #2: Brace yourself. So read through the tips, and despair not when you leave your digital SLR at home.
