'Down In The Treme...'

There's pride on Mass. Ave.

Three weekends ago, I watched the premiere of David Simon's Treme at a friend's apartment. (He served catfish, which was delicious. And Popeye's, which was also delicious.) Hours before the second episode aired, I broke down and ordered HBO. I'm glad I did. So far, the show hasn't disappointed. And the music has been great. There has been so much of it, I've struggled to keep track of what I want/intend to download.

Thanks to The Village Voice's Rob Harvilla, I found the "Songs From Treme" Tumblr page. If you like what you hear — and you will, I promise — HBO makes an official playlist available after each episode, too, complete with links to iTunes.
