Bugaboo

For a second time, I find myself envying the lives of small children. Last month, I complained about the lost art of adult temper tantrums and now I kind of want this $1,500 stroller. For myself.

What is a $1,500 stroller?

The Bugaboo Donkey.

Now, if you're wondering why one would need a $1,500 stroller, watch this video to see its various life uses.

Helaine Olen writes about some of the challenges the company has faced since it opened up the market for luxury strollers back in 1999. The high-end baby transporting devices became really popular after the Bugaboo Frog was featured on an episode of Sex and the City, but then the company took a hit during the recession.

The Donkey is Bugaboo's first new stroller in four years and "the first mono-duo–mono convertible stroller for kid(s) and goods" is designed to eliminate the need for parents to "automatically purchase another stroller on the birth of their second child."

Forget the babies, I just want one for myself. Those videos make it look so cool! I could just get relaxed and comfy in there by myself, with the option to store my laptop next to me. But then also have the option to remove my carrier of goods and invite a friend over instead. It could be a good investment?
