Papa John's

The royal wedding hype has gone over my head for the most part, but this is pretty awesome. Papa John's caught the bug and commissioned an artist to make this pizza portrait of the couple. Kate's veil is made from mushrooms, the dress from cheese, and William's suit is fashioned out of peppers and salami.

Andrew Varga, Papa John's chief marketing officer said:

Royal Wedding fever is sweeping the world so we couldn't resist having some fun and creating our very own pizza portrait of Kate and William to celebrate their forthcoming marriage.

Looks beautiful and delicious at the same time.

I didn't actually realize they had Papa John's in the U.K., but customers there who email in will be entered into a drawing. The winner will be chosen next Wednesday and the pizza will be delivered Friday, the day of the wedding.

The only thing I don't approve of in this whole campaign is the title of the press release: "Papa John's Says 'I Dough' to Celebrate the Upcoming Royal Wedding." Tisk tisk.

In other food-related royal wedding news, a U.K. couple is auctioning off a jelly bean resembling Kate on eBay. They hope to get about $815 dollars.

Any other brilliant ideas out there? Only nine days left!
