Still waiting to hear more. The Associated Press is reporting that former senator John Edwards is set to drop out of the Democratic presidential race this afternoon. Former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani is also expected to exit the Republican race today.

Sad to see Edwards go ... he provided a much needed balance.
I HATE TO DISSAGREE, BUT I AM GLAD TO SEE HIM GO. ALL OF HIS STANCES AND POLICIES WERE EITHER IN AGREEMENT WITH CLINTON OR AGREEMENT WITH OBAMA. IN OTHER WORDS WITH HIM INVOLVED THE RACE WAS ALWAYS TWO AGAINTS ONE INSTEAD OF THREE VIABLE CANDIDATES. BEFORE THE ELECTORAL SEASON MY OPINION OF JOHN EDWARDS WAS MUCH HIGHER THAN IT IS NOW. HE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN OUT OF THE WAY WEEKS AGO.
Like I told my friends, Edwards lost me as a voter after the $400 hair cut. I just couldn't wrap my head around that act with his anti-poverty message. But I'll miss his calm presence on the upcoming debate(s).
