TMM Blog Extra: Sights and Sounds from MLK Day

Our crew made it back safely from South Carolina. I was especially glad to see them when I realized they'd brought me gifts -- lots of sights and sounds from the road. After toying with the elements for a bit, we were able to put together a multi-media presentation. I think it's a nice breather (sort of) from the heavy politcally-driven events of the week.

Watch and hear how South Carolinians in Columbia, the state's capitol, celebrated the life of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I keep hearing these references to Mrs. Clinton's "experience". How much more political experience does she have then either Mr. Obama or Mr. Edwards?

From what I see on each of their biographical excerpts they are roughly around the same.

As far as I can see if experience is the key then none of the currently running candidates have a viable resume, those 2 individuals had to drop out.

I love the slide show and the video clip of the barbershop. One of the things that makes me smile the most is the depth of excitement buzzing around the African-American community during this political campaign. As a woman who is also African-American, it is truly a blessing to see history in the making!
