House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., just tried hard to move on from the controversy she created by accusing the CIA of lying about whether it told her in September 2002 that waterboarding had been used when interrogating a suspected terrorist. But she also didn't back away from that charge.

"I have made the statement that I'm going to make; I stand by my comment," Pelosi just told reporters in the Capitol. Her plan, Pelosi added, is to "stay on our course and not be distracted from it. ... I won't have anything more to say about it."

Republicans in Congress are pushing Pelosi to either apologize to the CIA or produce more evidence to support her charge.
