Consumer prices rose just 0.1% in May from April, the Bureau of Labor Statistics just reported. The Associated Press says that's less than what most economists expected — a 0.3% rise.
Over the past year, prices have fallen 1.3%.
The good news: Things cost less. The bad news: That's a sign of weak demand.
